Really nice for my first cruise.
by Amber H from Mobile al
Sailing date:
Dec 2012
Pros:
The staff, the clean room.
Cons:
I had hair in my food from the buffet.
My overall impression of the ship was great, minus a couple of issues that I've had.

Dining/Food
The food wasn't that great to me, but take into consideration that I'm a really picky eater. The food was luke warm and not that flavorful. On night 3 I found blonde hair wrapped around the beef from the buffet, and my hair is long curly and black. I feel like the hair had to come from one of the cruisers into the food. It grossed me out, and I starved until the next day. Also the cups for refills were dirty, the water was nasty and the pizza taste like cold cardboard.
Stateroom Quality
The room was really clean, but I always bring my own blanket to sleep under so I slept on top of their cover. On the final night I had to pack my luggage early, so I had to sleep under their cover this was the first time I lifted it up and I noticed their was a small dark red dried blood type stain under the comforter that I didn't sleep under durring the entire trip. I also noticed a similar stain on the carnival beach towel that I never used. The reason I'm giving this a high rating overall is because even though that was disgusting, the room was pretty much spotless and smelled good.
Ship Staff Quality
Staff was great, but on leaving day most of the staff no longer spoke acted as though they wanted us to leave.( which I'm sure they did)
Entertainment & Activities
I thought the entertainment was too "cheesy" for my likings, but That's just my opinion.

Great First Time Cruise
by iruiz75 from San Antonio, TX
Sailing date:
Apr 2012
Pros:
I didn't want for anything on the Carnival Sensation
Cons:
I felt there wasn't much variety to the food offered on the Lido Deck
It was the very first cruise for my new wife and I and we very much enjoyed the experience. The ship (Carnival Sensation) didn't move that much - or rather not enough to upset my stomach, which I did expect. The whole experience was delightful. It wasn't too long, and neither of us ever felt rushed to get off the boat.

I liked the Sensation. It wasn't so big that one could get lost, and wasn't small enough that it would get tossed around the ocean. Everything was clean, the dining facilities were always neat or freshly stocked with food... I wish I would have known there was a gym sooner.
Dining/Food
Stateroom Quality
The staff was quick to refresh our room. Whether we left our room to eat or venture onto land, by the time we got back the room was reset and clean.
Ship Staff Quality
The comedian on the ship was right, all the staff were always happy. We went to see the ship's doc and he was very helpful and friendly.
Entertainment & Activities
The shows were good, but I felt that the activities off the boat offered by the staff did not appeal to everybody.

Crowded but an adventure. I would love to go to the straw market again once it is in the new building. Don't bother with the horse and cart ride (expensive for about 10 minute ride)

High School Graduation Spectacular !!!
by Duane B from Salt Lake City, Ut
Sailing date:
May 2010
Pros:
Time frame , destination- Nausaa, dolphins and food ,food, fun.
Cons:
More day time at Naussa would have been better. Like arrival at 8 am instead of 12 noon.
We took our daughter and girl friend both 18, and graduating from high school. Started out in Orlando with 5 days full of fun and continued on the 4 day 4 night cruise. The ship was clean, fantastic staff and fun on board was exceptional. Shore excursion to Atlantis and swimming with the Dolphins was great.

Atlantis was great and the aquatic parks, swimming with the dolphins. I was a little disappointed with on shore arrival time. 12 noon resticted other activities that I would have like to do in Nausaa. By the time we arrived back from Atlantis @ 7:30 pm the local shopping was closed.

A True Vacation
by Michelle L. from Rutledge, TN.
Sailing date:
Feb 2008
Pros:
The friendliness of the staff
Cons:
Having to turn my cell phone back on when I got off the ship
I can honestly say that this was the first "vacation" my family has ever had. From the time we got to the port till we left, it was relaxing, exciting, and calming all in one. The staff and captain were awsome. My advise, when you get on the ship turn your phone off and leave in your suitcase till you get off the ship. I promise you wont regret that or taking this curise. Thanks for a wonderful time in the Bahamas.

Great family vacation
by Kim S. from Atlanta, ga
Sailing date:
Nov 2007
Pros:
Camp Carnival is the best!
Cons:
Getting off the ship when the vacation was over!
We have cruised Carnival almost a dozen times. This was our fist cruise with our 10 yr old, and 6 year old girls. It was fantastic. This itinerary is great with kids! Easy on and off with a family! Looking at doing it again!
